8 miles from Twain Harte and is at

snows linger into spring. Most of the

The roads are narrow and garages
are rare. Long Barn, a once thriving
vacation area has quieted down in
recent years. The Long Barn Lodge
still features an Ice Skating Rink in
the winter and a swimming pool for
the summer Here you'll find a good
selection of rooms and cabins all year
long.
To the East, Slide Inn and Snow Bowl
are almost a continuation of Long
Barn.
Sierra Park once called Odd Fellows
Park is distinctly different. This gated
community features its' own private
lake and recreation area. As you near
the bottom of the road the land
begins to level out and open up into
a beautiful meadow where the lake
and recreation area are. Here the
association plows the roads, takes
your garbage and provides the
water. Making the fees well worth
the almost a $1000 per year.
